Course Description for AP Macro:
This course provides students with a thorough understanding of the principles of economics that apply to an economic system as a whole. Placing particular emphasis on the study of national income and price-level determination, it develops students’ familiarity with economic performance measures, the financial sector, stabilization policies, economic growth and international economics. This course provides an alternative approach to the twelfth-year required economics curriculum with an enriched program. It is expected that students will conclude this course with the AP exam.
Course Description for Gov Theory H:
This challenging course will provide students with an overview of the unique identity and character of United States government and politics. Students will gain an understanding of the trends, events, and policies influencing the development of American government from 1787 to the present. Students will be encouraged to make connections between the structure of the governmental process and the role of the citizen in influencing this process. Students will analyze, evaluate, and debate the enduring constitutional issues in relationship to economic trends and policies.
Materials Needed:

  1. 1. Krugman’s Macroeconomics for AP (Bring the book home and leave it until the end of the year)
  2. 2. Three Subject Spiral Notebook for class
  3. 3. Pens, pencils, and highlighters are necessary everyday
  4. 4. Folder to keep all test material and other handouts

Grading Policy:
For each quarter, the grade will be determined based on the following factors. Two or three times per quarter you will be given the opportunity at extra help to reconcile your grades in my gradebook to the ones you have in your folder.

2. Economic Literacy HW 30%
3. Class Participation 10%
